The Minister was presented with a 2,500  signature petition last week by  members of Glencraft staff, in which the Minister was asked to do all he could to save the outfit.

The closing of the factory in November meant the loss of 50 jobs but the strong feeling that it has provoked in the local community has forced action to be taken. The company which manufactured divan sets and mattresses will now hopefully have some sort of future.
