Designer Program

At Furniture Factories Showrooms, we greatly value our relationship with area interior designers and decorators and have established a Designer Program to manage their purchases and reward them for their loyalty.

This program is open to all designers and builders who wish to participate, however to remain registered in the program and maintain and active designer number, the participant must purchase a specific dollar amount of merchandise each calendar year. Loyalty is rewarded in several ways, which are discussed when the application is completed.

Loaner Furniture and Model Homes

Due to burgeoning number of developments, and the huge numbers of homes being built in the Memphis and Mid-South area, Furniture Factories Showrooms has adopted a policy of not loaning furniture out of the store or warehouse, placing any items in "spec" housing or accessorizing unoccupied dwellings.

We regret the inconvenience that this policy may cause our loyal and devoted customers and designers, however, due to the sheer numbers, we cannot accommodate these types of requests.

Deliveries and Drop Shipments

We deliver 5 to 6 days a week in an area approximately a 100 mile radius of our warehouse in Bartlett. Due to the limited number of vehicles in our delivery fleet, we cannot deliver outside this area. We can secure a truck line to deliver your purchase outside our local truck delivery area.

Our usual delivery time for in-stock items is approximately 3-5 days from the date of purchase. Occasionally, we can deliver in a shorter time period. Out of town runs are scheduled the same day each week, depending on the direction of travel. Saturday deliveries are always available to customers who cannot take delivery during the week. We do not deliver on Sundays or Mondays.

Special order items are delivered as soon as a date can be determined upon their arrival in our warehouse. Drop shipments of furniture cannot be made, either in or out of town. Rugs, however, can be shipped directly to an out of town business address, provided they are equipped with a loading dock.

Items already purchased can be held in our Bartlett warehouse for no more than two weeks from date of purchase. We don not have a lay-a-way plan, however we do have a 12 month financing at no interest for your purchases over $1,000. See "Credit" for further information.

Lamps, some large mirrors, and small accessories cannot be delivered and must be taken from the store when purchased. We will gladly help you place these items in your vehicle.

Upcharges

There is a slight upcharge for delivering furniture to an upstairs location because an extra employee will be needed on these deliveries. Please be aware of this before your delivery date. Customers requesting delivery personnel to "move" or "rearrange" existing furniture in their homes will be charged an extra $35 or more for this request. In addition, the warehouse manager must be alerted in advance of such a request, as time adjustments in the delivery schedule must be made. We request that you be respectful of other customers in this regard.

Pickups

Furniture and large accessories, such as mirrors, may be picked up at our warehouse from 10am - 5pm Tuesdays through Saturdays each week.

Please call 901-386-0974, the warehouse phone number, BEFORE making your pickup to alert the warehouse staff of your intended arrival and speak to the warehouse manager.

This will allow them to locate your items, open the packing cases, inspect the merchandise and do any required assembly before you arrive. Falling to call ahead usually results in a delay at the dock.

Items to be transported long distances may be left in the original packing crates. Please alert your salesperson to this request at the time of purchase. We requiest that you bring your own packing material to the warehouse - ropes, blankets, tie-downs etc, as we have limited supplies. Our warehousemen will gladly load your items in your vehicle, but you must secure them, as our liability ends at the dock. If we deliver, however, we are fully responsible for the handling of all items until they are correctly placed in your home.

Customer Service

We have a dedicated service staff and strive to make every encounter with Furniture Factories Showrooms a pleasant experience. However, on occasion, this does not happen. In this instance, our Customer Service department steps in and handles the situation until it is successfully resolved.

Our touch-up experts can often repair a wooden item so masterfully that the original damage is undetectable, and our upholstery experts work magic in their area as well, however, we do not provide upholstery or re-upholstery services.

Items that are "big tagged" or sale items cannot be returned. Special orders cannont be returned. Rugs that are purchased at "big tag" prices can be taken out of the store for 48 hours only.

Fabric samples may be taken from the store for matching purposes, at a charge of $25 each. These must be returned within 5 days to receive credit on a charge card or be issued a refund check. Samples not returned in a timely manner will not be refunded.

Items that arrive in a damaged condition will be handled by the Sales Manager and the Customer Service manager and arrangements will be made to secure another item or repair the damaged one to the customer's satisfaction

Credit Information

We offer our customers the convenience of Same-As-Cash purchases and are happy to do this through the auspices of the WELLS FARGO Group of Companies. We have very attractive terms that apply to most all purchases made in the store. Purchases over $1,000 can be financed for 12 months with a small monthly payment and no interest to qualified buyers if the entire amount is paid off before 12 months has elapsed. Purchases from $500-$1000 may also be financed for up to 6 months under the same conditions.

Furniture & Upholstery Warranties

Furniture Factories Showrooms, the store, does not warranty anything itself but offers our customers our various manufacturer's warranties. These fine companies are happy to stand behind their products and offer varying degrees of coverages for defects in workmanship or construction. Many of these warranties are written as Limited Lifetime Warranties...which normally means the life of the furniture...a generally agreed upon time period of five to seven years (not YOUR expected lifetime, just to clear things up in advance!)

Your designer consultant will happily copy the written manufacturer's warrany from the catalog for you upon request, or if it is not readily available, will direct you to the manufacturer's website or toll free number for further assistance in this area. Cushion and upholstery construction methods vary and consequently, so do the warranties on these various pieces - especially in motion furniture like recliners which may feature warranties of differing lengths of time on several areas...like one on the recliner mechanism, another on construction materials, and another on stitching and fabric integrity.

Most accessories do not carry warranties of any nature, except light fixtures, which carry special electrical approval codes on their hangtags. Casegoods usually are warranted by the manufacturer however, in similar ways to upholstery.

Rug Warranties

Colorfastness in rugs may or may not be warranted, as many are handwoven or handknotted and may be made with vegetable or other natural dyes that are not colorfast under all circumstances. Customers interested in protecting their rugs from unwanted spills or dropped food may purchase non-warranted fabric protection for rugs. This service is a spray-on application that will be applied by our personnel using chemicals from the program discussed below.

Warranty Service Programs Offered through ULTRA-SHIELD

Furniture Factories Showrooms is proud to offer our customers what we consider to be the finest stand-alone warranty program in the nation. We have recently contracted with ULTRA-SHIELD of Somerset, Kentucky to handle these outside services.

This fine company offers a comprehensive FIVE YEAR 3-in-1 warranty that our customers are finding a valuable investment at an affordable rate...it includes 1) a spray-on fabric protection for upholstery (applied by our personnel before you take possession), 2) handy wood care products for all clear-coated wooden items, and 3) two leather care products for cleaning and protecting fine surface-treated leather or vinyl upholstery (these products are not suitable for nubuck or suede leather). Prices vary by the number of pieces purchased. Please see your designer consultant for details.

Fabric protection may be purchased by itself, without the wood care and leather care items, and, as mentioned above, this spray-on protection is also available for your fine rug purchases. Charges for this service are very reasonable. Dining room chair seats and backs may also be sprayed, as these are prime targets for many spills and food related accidents.

Service calls for all these situations are handled by Ultra-Shield personnel - either by telephone or through in home visits made to assess damage and/or make repairs. Items that cannot be repaired will subsequently be replaced, according to the terms of the warranty.

How to Keep your Wood Furniture in Great Shape
...Sensible Wood Care

Realizing that no finish is totally indestructible, use of the proper woodcare techniques and products can add years of service to your fine wood furniture. After all, quality wood furniture is a significant investment, and you expect it to last for generations. However, to maintain its beauty and luster, wood furniture need the right care to protect it from climate changes, overly-heated winter environments and bleaching sunlight.

To protect and care for your furniture, we suggest you do the following:

  • Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight, as this causes uneven fading and bleaching of the wood's surface.
  • Avoid extreme changes in temperature by arranging your wood furnishings away from radiators, heat and air conditioning vents, and air conditioning units.
  • Avoid plastic, resin, or rubber materials such as lamp bases, notebooks, placemats, etc. directly on your wood furniture as some plastics contain ingredients that may damage the finish. Cloth or felt pads create a nice buffer between your decorative items and the surface of your fine wood pieces.
  • Periodically rotate the placement of accessories on your tabletops so they do not sit in the same spot all the time. Failure to do this will result in uneven color spots over time, as even incremental fading and discoloration does occur due to smoke, dust, grease and airborne contaminants.
  • Use hotpads and trivets to protect your tabletops from hot dishes, beverages, bookends, flowerpots and ceramic vases. Even steam can discolor your table's finish in a moment's time, so use care when serving hot food or beverages.
  • Use a protective pad when writing with a ballpoint pen on paper resting on the tabletop.
  • Lift and place objects on the tabletops rather than dragging them across the surface.
  • Avoid placing furniture directly under outside windows.

How to Clean and Polish your Furniture
